POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for quality performance and reporting of analyses of technical procedures for the benefit of optimal patient care within the limits of laboratory policy and procedures according to FDA, JCAHO, CAP, STATE, AABB, OSHA regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

1. Qualifies as a technologist according to CLIA-88 standards and the Georgia Clinical Laboratory Licensure Law.
2. Graduate of an accredited four year school of Medical Technology and registered with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a MT (ASCP) or eligible for the registry.
3. One year after employment is the maximum time given an individual to become registered.
4. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care (i.e. Phlebotomy for laboratory testing and Point of Care testing) appropriate to the age of the patient's seen in their assigned area.
5. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
6. Must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify each patient's age specific needs and provide the care needed by our patient groups (i.e., neo-nate, pediatric, adolescent and/or geriatric).
7. Normal color vision in order to discriminate and verify diagnostic laboratory stains and color dependent testEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
